Mijn naam is Jacqueline Plasmeijer ik woon met mijn man Ben
onze kat en inmiddels drie labradors
in het Overijsselse dorpje Schuinesloot.
Ik ben geboren en opgegroeid op een boerderij tussen de dieren,
verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel voor dieren is bij mij dan ook met de paplepel ingegoten.
Mijn interesse en liefde voor de Labrador Retriever is altijd bij mij aanwezig geweest, het uiterlijk ,en het vriendelijke trouwe karakter is waar wij zo voor gevallen zijn.
De vreugde was dan ook groot toen in het voorjaar van 2014 Laila als kleine bruine pup ons gezin kwam verreiken.
Laila is uitgegroeid tot een fantastische lieve gezonde mooie bruine labrador, gek van water, ballen, stokken en knuffels.
Mijn grote wens was met haar een gezond nestje te fokken ......maar dan wel volgens de regels van de Raad van Beheer en de rasverenigingen, waar gezondheid, uiterlijk en karakter voorop staan.
Er ging een jaar aan voorbereidingstijd aan vooraf, want een nestje fokken dat doe je niet zo maar even tussendoor.
Laila heeft inmiddels 3 gezonde bruine nestjes gekregen, van haar eerste nestje hebben we Luna , een bruin teefje gehouden.
Inmiddels heeft ook Luna twee nestjes gekregen, .
Uit haar eerste nestje hebben we Lizzy gehouden en zij mag onze mooie lijn voortzetten.
Onze derde generatie is een feit en daar zijn wij heel trots op!!
De pups worden in ons huis geboren en blijven daar ook tot de tijd dat ze naar hun nieuwe baasjes gaan.
Zo raken ze gewend aan de geluiden van alle dag en uiteraard worden ze veel opgepakt en geknuffeld.
Na een week of drie / vier mogen ze als het weer het toelaat naar buiten om te wennen aan nieuwe geuren en geluiden.
De eerste weken van hun leven zijn erg cruciaal en zeer belangrijk om zich verder te kunnen ontwikkelen.
Als de pups 6 a 7 weken oud zijn worden ze door de dierenarts geheel nagekeken en onderzocht, hun internationaal paspoort word ingevuld, ze worden getiterd en krijgen als het nodig is hun 1e vaccinatie.
Met 2, 4, 6 en 8 weken worden ze ontwormd.
Wij vragen van de nieuwe eigenaar om door te gaan met titeren, om zo zeker te weten dat ze na de vaccinatie ook echt beschermd zijn.
Wij helpen jullie hiermee de juiste dierenarts te vinden die bekend is met titeren volgens vaccicheck.
Door de Raad van Beheer worden ze gechipt en word er DNA profiel afgenomen..
De koper krijgt bij het ophalen van de pup een Europees paspoort mee, een map waar alle papieren van de ouderdieren in zitten met de nodige informatie., het koopcontract en een voerschema waar de pup opstaat wanneer u de pup komt ophalen. .
De stamboom van de pup zenden wij u later toe zodra deze binnen zijn of worden zo mogelijk bij u langs gebracht.
De reden hiervan is dat deze papieren later dan de overdracht van de pup naar ons toegezonden worden door de RvB.
Wij fokken volgens de regels van de Raad van Beheer, de Labrador Kring Nederland (LKN) en de Nederlandse Labrador Vereniging (NLV) waar wij lid van zijn.
Dit houdt in dat beide ouderdieren een FCI stamboom hebben , de ogen gespiegeld zijn (ECVO), HD en ED vrij zijn .
Onze beide labradors zijn gecheckt op een 7 tal aandoeningen d.m.v. DNA onderzoek; oa PRCD/pra, EIC en HNPK.
De ouderdieren, de combinatie reu / teef wordt dan ook met grote zorgvuldigheid uitgezocht met als doel, goed , gezond en verantwoord te fokken.
Ook gaan we naar shows toe om zo het exterieur te laten beoordelen door keurmeesters.
Hier gaat het om de uiterlijke kenmerken, de gezondheid en het karakter om te willen werken voor je "the will to please", wat zo kenmerkend is voor dit ras.
Het feit dat we heel zorgvuldig fokken en zoveel mogelijk uit proberen te sluiten geeft nooit 100% garantie.
Wij vinden het erg belangrijk dat een hond de tijd en de aandacht krijgt wat het behoort te verdienen,
Daarom willen wij voor dat het nestje geboren is kennis maken met de geïnteresseerde gezinnen zodat wij inzicht krijgen waar onze pups straks naar toe gaan, dit vinden wij erg belangrijk..
Het is voor ons fijn om te weten dat ze in warm thuis terecht komen en dat ze alle aandacht krijgen wat de labrador nodig heeft.
Wij verlangen van de mensen dat ze zich verdiepen in het ras door middel van veel te lezen en geen impuls aanschaf doen.
Bent u geïnteresseerd in een pup van "From Laila's Lodge" bel ons of stuur een mailtje naar ons mail adres, we kunnen u dan een vragenformulier toesturen.
Aan de hand van uw mail nodigen we u uit voor een eerste kennismaking zodra de dracht met een echo bevestigd is.
In het eerste kennismakings - gesprek kunnen we van beide kanten bekijken of het goed voelt om verder te gaan.
We kijken echt naar gezinnen die veel tijd hebben voor het opvoeden van een labrador en de gezinssituatie.
Vanaf de geboorte tot de eerste drie weken houden we de aanstaande families die in blijde afwachting zijn op de hoogte d.m.v. filmpjes en foto's via de app.
Als de pups drie weken oud zijn, zijn de families van harte welkom om naar het nestje te komen kijken en lekker te komen knuffelen.
Wij matchen de puppen aan de gezinnen d.m.v. karaktertesten af te laten nemen door een ervaren gedragsdeskundige. We kijken naar de gezinssituatie, voorkeur voor een teefje of een reutje en naar wat mensen willen gaan doen met hun labrador. bijv; jachttrainingen, speuren, agility of gewoon een fijne gezinshond willen hebben.
Zo maken wij de beste match voor iedereen.
Gedurende de hele periode vanaf de eerste kennismaking tot aan het moment van de overdracht van de pup hebben zowel de fokker als de koper zonder opgaaf van reden het recht om niet tot verkoop / koop over te gaan.
We vinden het erg fijn om contact te blijven houden, staan altijd open voor vragen en vinden het leuk om via social media, d.m.v. filmpjes, foto's en appjes onze pups te kunnen volgen.
Mensen die beide fulltime werken verdienen bij ons niet de voorkeur.
Wij houden zoveel van onze lieve schatten, ze geven ons zoveel liefde elke dag weer.
daarom bljiven ze bij ons tot de dood ons scheidt.

My name is Jacqueline Plasmeijer and I do live together with my husband Ben and our two children,
one cat and three labradros in Hazerswoude dorp, a small village in the province South Holland.
I have been born and raised on the farm of my parents among the animals, the
feeling of responsibility for animals has been learned to me from little age on.
My interest and love for the Labrador Retriever has always been with me, the exterior and the friendly and the loyal character of them is where we felled for. The joy was very great when Laila our little brown puppy came in our family.
Laila has grown up to a fantastic sweet healthy brown Labrador, fond of water, balls, sticks and stuffed animals.
My greateast wish was to breed a healthy nest of puppies with Laila, but ofcourse everything according to the rules
of the Raad van Beheer and the breeding club, where health, exterior and character are on number one.
It took a year as preparation time, raising a nest puppies is not something which you do in your spare time.
Laila has already given birth to two healthy nests, and from her first nest we keeped Luna, a brown female dog.
The puppies are born in our house in the livingroom and will stay in our house till the moment, mostly
about 8 weeks, that they are ready to go to their new bosses.
By living in the livingroom they are automatically used to sounds of the day, and they are hugged very very often.
After three or four weeks they can go outside to get used to the outside living space, new smells and sounds.
The first weeks of their lives are very important for them to be able to develop themselves in a good way.
When the puppies are 7 weeks old, they are checked by the veterinarian, and their International European Passport
is filled out, and they get their first vaccination which they need at that moment.
At 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks after birth they will be dewormed.
The need of vaccination is checked at every single pup, and vaccination will only be done for the pup
concerned, if needed, so this can be different for every single pup. We do demand from the new owners of
the pup that they go on with this system. By this system you are sure that the pup will get the right
vaccination at the right moment, and then you are 100% sure that the pup is protected.
We will assist the new owners with finding a veterinarion who is able to make the proper checks.
The Raad van Beheer will chip the pups and they will take a DNA profile from the pubs.
The buyer gets, at the moment of buying the pup after 8 weeks, the International European Passport, together with a map
with al the official documents of the two parentdos, combined with practical information and a buying contract.
The family tree and the DNA profile of the pup will be sent a few weeks later to the buyer as soon as we
received them,from the Raad van Beheer, or we will bring this document to the buyer.
We do breed according to the rules of the Raad van Beheer and the Labrador Kring Vereniging, from which we
are member. This means that both parentdogs do have a FCI family tree, that the eyes are checked, and that
the parents are free of HD and ED. Also both parents are checked for about seven diseases by DNA research,
as PRCD/pra, EIC and HNPK. The parentdogs, the combination of male and femaledog will be selected by
us in a very proper way with the target to breath in a good and a healthy way.
Herewith we do mean the external characteristics, the health and the character to be willing to
work for you, 'the will to please', which is so characteristic for this breed. The fact that we do breed the
pups in the most secure way does not give a 100% guarantee on the pup.
For us it is very important that a dog gets the time and attention what they belong to get, for that reason
we do want to meet the families which are interested in a pup, so that we get an idea of the situation of the
family in which the pup might go to. For us it is important to know in which family the pup will live, and that
the pup will get all attention which he need. We do ask the people that they take as much as possible
knowledge / information about raising a pup and everything what is needed, to avoid that they buy a pup
without the awareness where they start with, and only buying because of the cute face of the pupe etc.
When you are interested in a pup 'From Laila's Lodge' please sent us an email to our email address, and
after that we will sent you a form with questions, which you can sent back to us after
filling in the answers. Depanding on this mail we will invite you for a first introduction meeting as soon as we
got the confirmation from the veterinarion that the motherdog is pregnant.
During the first introduction meeting we can find out if it feels good from both sided to go on or not.
From birth up till four weeks we will inform the forthoming families who are in happy expectation,
by video and photographs via whatts-app. At the moment that the pups are four weeks old, we do
invite the families to look at the pups and to hug with them. We will do the matching which familiy
will get which pub, ofcource after the familiy has given some preferences like gender and character.
During the whole period, from the first introduction meeting up till the moment that the family who
buys a pup will come to us to get the pup, both parties; we the breeder and the buyer do have the
right to stop the saling / buyingproces of the pup wihout stating a reason.
We do like to stay in contact with the buyers, we are always available for advice and questions,
and do like it to get photographes or video's from you by social media, to see how the pup is doing etc.
Families in which both partners are working fulltime do not have our preference to sell a pup to.
Families with lots of time for a pup (also after Covid) do have our preference.
